Nubank launches own cryptocurrency

Brazil’s largest digital bank, Nubank, plans to launch its own token in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico next year.

It will be available to Nubank’s 70 million users in the first part of 2023 and will be used for discounts and privileges.

The bank is inviting 2,000 customers to participate in a forum group to help develop the token, which is being created on the Polygon blockchain.

“This project is another step ahead in our belief in the transformative potential of blockchain technology,” said Nucoin general manager Fernando Czapski.
