Recently we were approached by one of our clients who we previously helped get a cryptologic license in Estonia. The client needed to open a bank account, but the problem was that in addition to classic trading, storage, and exchange of cryptocurrency funds on their website, they also had such investment instruments as margin trading, futures market trading, and other financial instruments.
Because of the margin trading on the site, banks were interested in how the services were provided and whether there was an investment license to store and exchange cryptocurrencies. This required an investment license.
Our lawyers studied this question in detail and suggested several variants of solution. One of them is to work with partners who, thanks to their license, can cover the necessary functionality. An alternative solution is to obtain a Seychelles investment offshore license. The client preferred the second option.
