The most popular digital bank in Ukraine, “Monobank,” is starting a new journey by entering the Polish market and introducing the revolutionary mobile banking app, stereo by mono. The official launch will take place in the end of the first quarter of 2023, according to bank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovskyi.
“There are about 3 million Ukrainians in Poland, according to various estimates. We are primarily targeting them, but of course, we will also be very happy to welcome Poles. We can’t wait to surprise them with Ukrainian-level banking service,” Gorokhovsky said.
According to him, you will be able to get a card in stereo by mono through “Дія,” but you will need to have PESEL, which is the equivalent of the Ukrainian TIN, to do so. You can open a virtual card for free, and a physical card for 25 zloty.
